UNHCR Education Strategy: Refugee Education 2030

Newly launched is the “United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Education Strategy: Refugee Education 2030, A Strategy for Refugee Inclusion,” which the REACH team worked with the UNHCR Education Unit to draft. This strategy draws in part on results from our 14 country study, which is now available from Sociology of Education.

Moving beyond access to education for refugees, this new strategy focuses on approaches to refugee education that can promote quality education and social belonging for refugees and the marginalized nationals with whom they live and attend school. Designed as a “living” document, it will soon be complemented by an online portal of promising practices, case studies, and technical guidance.
